NEW PROGRAMS

Tai Chi for Diabetes
Tai Chi for Diabetes is a gentle, non-impact exercise class which can lessen stress and lower blood sugar levels.  It includes moves which help to lower blood pressure, reduce stress, and improve stability and balance.  It requires no special equipment.  Taught by Linda Revis, this program was developed in collaboration with physicians and other medical professionals and those trained in the art of Tai Chi.  Must Pre-register for this class.
Dates: Session 1: June 20-August 1 (No class on July 4th)
   Session 2: August 8-September 12
Times: 1:00-2:00pm on Fridays
Fees:  $25 for Members; $35 for Program Participants

Stroke Survivor Wellness Class
This is a class which allows stroke survivors to stay active and improve their health after completing formal physical therapy.  An individualized program will be developed for each participant.  Class will be conducted by YMCA personal trainers/instructors who have trained with licensed physical therapists.  Participants must have a physician's referral. Must Pre-register for this class.
Dates: Session 1: June 16-July
   Session 2: July 7-August 1
   Session 3: August 4-29
Times: 1:00-3:00pm, Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Fees:  $25 for Members; $35 for Program Participants
